New technique and a taste from a story I`m working on

A change in the last moment at the Dolls Art Exhibition

In a last moment of decision...the curator of the Dolls Art exhibition decided to change the works I`m exhibiting in the exhibition. It was a bit surprising, but since she chose works that I still like after the time that past from drawing them I decided to be flexible and go with her wish. You can see the illustration unframed here, here and here.

You are very welcomed to visit the exhibition, its open during weekends, Thursdays-Friday-Saturdays and there is amazing lovely dolls to see there.

The Finals of my project for the exhibiton "A Doll with a Crack"

My works for this exhibition were created in a special technique, combining paper cuttinng, glowing many layers of different papers that I`ve created especially for these works in a narrow color selection. After all the glowing, I draw with colored pencils to emphasize the textures and colors I wanted to stand out. this technique was made up through dialogue with the exhibition`s curator, Liora Grossman, who guided me to search a new way of working, and demanded that I`ll work in a way that will combine some kind of 3d paper work. I took me very long to create each piece, about 90 hours, including paper preparing and coloring, paper cutting, glowing and pencil coloring.

    

heart for variety

 I havent been here for a while...cause I`ve been busy with so many things...that I`m about to share with you now :) so I`ll start with the first news: 2 of my works are now participating in a big open exhibition at Tel Aviv Port to support the variety kids project. You can see them while walking around and it`s very exciting to see my works printed in this big size for the first time.

Hagada 2015 Project

I am participating in a cool project in which Illustrators and designers design pages in the Passover Hagada published by the design shop Asufa. I drew and hand-written the text of the part I`ve had to design. It was a fun challenge. You can pre-order your copy here in only 49 shekels! 

This is the original illustration I`ve made inspired by the text. I had to make some adjustments to make it more modest and indigestible to a more conservative audience. Which version do you like more?

In the upcoming weekend (Thursday-Friday-Saturday), I`m participating with a lot of talented people in a fair for the New Year, "Shanot Tovot" Fair. There will be lots of nice things for the New Year (greetings postcards , prints, calenders, designed items for the house, etc.). The fair will be held in three locations across Jaffa ( details in the invitation bellow). Everyone is invited! Hope to see you all
