In the last seven months I`ve been working on a project for a very special exhibition for Tel Aviv Illustration Week. The exhibition was called "a doll with a crack" and deals with childhood that is not the ideal perfect image of childhood. It was about a childhood that went through major difficulties, loneliness, sorrow and pain. The venue of the exhibition was a very special place called " a sanatorium for toys", which hold an enormous amount of vintage toys collection that belongs to the owner of the place, Benny Yrucham. The curator of the exhibition is Liora Grossman, a very famous and talented Israeli illustrator which was the guide, mentor and the chief of all the four illustrators participating in the exhibition. Dave Yaacov, which is a friend of mine is the Initiator and producer of the exhibition. without him there wouldnt have been nothing of this....here are Liora`s illustration of us as toys for the publication of the exhibition. In the next few post I will share some of the working process of my project and works for the exhibition. you can also read about the others working process in hebrew, in the blog the we opened especially to accompany us while working on the exhibition: http://illustrationexhibitionisrael.tumblr.com/
